Hedging, Pruning and Plant Health
Every cut made with the plant in mind.
The service
Hedging, Pruning & Plant Health
Hedging is part craft, part horticulture. Cut too hard and you strip the plant bare. Cut at the wrong time and you lose a season of growth. Cut without care and you flatten the personality out of a garden. We approach every hedge with the end shape in mind and the health of the plant at the centre of every decision.
Fertilising is the quieter half of the work, but it is what makes a garden feel alive. We use organic and slow-release inputs matched to your soil and the Sunshine Coast climate. Citrus, natives, ornamentals, fruit trees and lawns all want something slightly different, and we tailor accordingly.
Pruning for shape, pruning for flowering, pruning for fruit. Knowing which is which is exactly what 15 years of qualified experience buys you.

Considered, from the first walk-through

Cut with intent
Crisp faces, soft curves or natural forms, always inside what the plant can healthily give.
03
Feed and protect
Organic feeding matched to the season, and a close eye on pests before they become problems.
Pricing

A beautifully thoughtful service. Chris made native plant recommendations that have thrived through everything the Coast throws at them. It is clear this is a heart-led business.

Good questions
Asked before, answered honestly
When should hedges be trimmed on the Sunshine Coast?
Most subtropical hedges here want shaping in early spring and a lighter pass in late summer, but species and position change the calendar. Part of our care is putting your hedges on the right rhythm rather than a fixed date.
My hedge has gone woody and bare. Can it be saved?
Often, yes. Many species can be brought back with staged restorative pruning and feeding over a few seasons. We will tell you honestly if replacement is the better investment.
Do you use organic fertilisers?
Wherever possible. Our programs are built on organic and slow-release inputs that feed the soil rather than just the plant.
